Thanks! All of my coworkers love me and the work that I do here, but of course it's up to the boss. Just a little nervous thats all.I started a office job as a temp to hire, now my interview is today. Any advice for me when they interview me?
Congratulations on the interview - your real advantage here is that the bosses do already know you, and you have (presumably) a proven track record.
Just be yourself, answer their questions honestly and directly and try not to ramble. Be professional, as though you were interviewing with people you had not met before - or if you're talking to people in HR, assume they know nothing about you.
Point out the good things you've accomplished as a temp there - mention how quickly you got up to speed on the company protocols, how you've developed a good working rapport with your co-workers. If you've had a good attendance / punctuality record, mention that. And if you aspire to do more within the company, let them know that at the outset. Say, ';I've learned x y and z about this company, and once I get some more experience, I'd be interested in doing more with this or that department.'; Companies love to hear that you yearn to do more than just the job you were hired for - that you want to grow! Good luck!I started a office job as a temp to hire, now my interview is today. Any advice for me when they interview me?
Just follow Luscious G advice,I could`t say it any better,and congratulations.Gilbert.
G did very well. The only thing I would add is to show them how you would take the job to the ';next level.'; Since you have the advantage of having already done the job, then you can talk about improvements that you'd like to make. But not in an arrogant way - not like you're going to come in and clean house. No, you want to talk as though you are a contributing team member. Team members put forth good ideas and if they see that you're already thinking long-term, then they will see you as long-term.
Good luck!
