Find out your ideal energy amount. Make sure your meals provide that and have the necessary vitamins and minerals etc - protein and so on - and the weight will slowly drop off.
if you are really struggling I'd recommend joining a slimming club like WeightWatchers. I've been a member for 8 months and I've lost 5st. Teaches you good eating habits and encourages you to exercise.

Yes, i suggest u hav a food pyramid formatted 4 ur weight/height/and level of physical activity
once u hav this u will be able 2 know how much servings and calories u will need per day
making it less likely that u will overeat and consume excess calories ( which becomes stored as fat)

firstly, starving yourself, exercising too much and having a dramatic change to your routine is not a good start. NO DIETS! firstly make sure you drink atleast 1.5L of water a day thats about 6glasses of water, make sure you drink a glass or 2 of milk a day. 3times a week do any phsyical activies that you enjoy...you need motivation so see if you can get a buddy or set a goal. how much weight do you want to lose? start off with sumthing small though eh, any questions or advice needed just contact me :-P
