if you are really 15 and 114-117 lbs, you are the right weight. you really don't need to lose any weight. i am 15 and i weigh that much and my doctor said that i was good for my age. trust me.I need advice on losing weight...any tips would be greatly appreciated?
dont eat so much or eat salad everyay for lunch
Keep up the excercise.
Eat 5 small meals a day (1 small meal every 3 hours), as opposed to 3 large meals. Note that I said SMALL meals, they must be smaller proportions (but not too small) or it defeats the purpose. This will speed up your metabolism and will naturally burn more fat.

I like to take 2 meal replacement bars (high protein, low carbohydrate) with me to school/work. I use them to replace 2 of my small meals, one after breakfast and one after lunch. You can purchase these by the box at any GNC or similar health store for about $30-40/box (1 weeks worth). It costs a little more, but it's convenient and it gets the job done. You may be able to find similar/cheaper health bars that may do just as good, but make sure they are low calorie/low carb.

Contrary to popular belief, starving yourself is the WORST way to try to lose weight. Your body will think that it is starving and will switch its metabolism into ';emergency mode';, meaning it will store more fat and burn muscle for energy.
In my professional opinion, you really aren't overweight or obese. You should be happy with your weight, because there are literally millions of Americans who wish that they weighted 114 pounds

But if you do feel that you want to lose a few pounds, then don't worry because running a mile is good enough to keep you in shape
at 5'5 that's a skinny side of normal weight, so you should focas less on what you weigh and more on being healthy

Ignore that damn smiley face next to the anorexic comment- anyone who has that disorder isn't smiling or happy and it's nothing that you want any part of. It's a curse that I couldn't wish on my worst enemy. Even after being in recovery for many years I haven't forgotten the hell of that disorder and the people I knew who had it as well agree with me
Your height and weight sound incredibley healthy for starters. However, if you are looking to lose a little weight here or there, here are some helpful hints.

1) Extend your workout. You should workout for at least 30 -45 minutes 5 days a week. A good workout puts your heart rate between 140 - 165.

2) A high protien, low carb diet will keep you thin as well. Protien helps rejuvinate muscles and provide energy Carbs provide energy as well, but are harder to burn, and contain sugars.

3) When you improve your workout you main notice that your weight may not drop right away. Fat is LIGHTER than MUSCLE. So you may burn fat, yet create muscle (Not a bad thing...Lean muscle is good and guys like a toned woman - it's sexy).

So monitor your body. It is possible for your body to thin out yet the weight may not shift as much, specially if you up your workout.
Why not fill up on things that are more filling? Try lots of fiber like broccoli, whole grain bread or rice and try to drink lots of water! That should help with your overeating. If you still prefer to eat alot, you need to exercise more to lose weight. As long as you burn those calories off you will lose some weight.
5'5'; and about 115 pounds? I don't think you need to lose weight. Concentrate on being healthy.
Here is the scale so you will know if you r e a l l y need to lose weight or want to just look like a bean pole.

5 foot = 100 lbs. Big bones add 5 lbs. Small frame take away 5 lbs. Normal 100 lbs start. For every inch over 5 ft. add 5 lbs. For under subtract 5 lbs.

You 100 + (5x5) = 125 lbs. You are a healthy female and are u n d e r the weight limit. Just keep eating fruits, veggies and meat. No fast food and junk (sugary sodas and snacks) and you will be fine.
You seem perfectly healthy.

Why would you want to lose weight?

Run more, I guess.

Take swimming actually.

Swimming makes people sexy.

And don't snack.

Snacking is for fat people.
if you think you need to lose weight at the height and weight you are at, then you are on your way to an eating disorder
