use windows, not apple.Could anyone advice me how to open .wmv file. there is no video when l open the file, only audio can be heard?
You don't have the correct codec to view that file. A codec (compression decompression algorithm) is the algorithm used to compress the video. Download VLC and you'll be able to watch the video. VLC is a great player, free, and was built so low-end systems could watch high-end videos without stutters.Could anyone advice me how to open .wmv file. there is no video when l open the file, only audio can be heard?
Have you tried downloading the latest version of your player software. If you are able you may attempt to play the file using windows media player if you are not. I have used this software GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.鈥?/a> in the past to figure out what codec a file is using. With that you can figure out what codecs your system requires to play the file or if the file is just damaged.
Maybe you should try to convert your WMV files to other formats, then it might be well played. If you don't have a converter now, I advise you to try AQ Video Converter Platinum which is my favourite.
AQ Video Converter Platinum supports many popular formats including WMV,AVI,MPG,MP4,3GP,FLV,MOV,VOB,etc. Just click one button,
the conversion can be finished soon. The output videos are clear to watch.
If you want to gain more info about Video Converter Platinum,
you can visit their website at:

WMV means ';Windows Media Video';. Make sure you have the proper codec installed on your machine...and you can use an Apple machine to do it too...just have to have the right codec. I suggest the K-Lyte mega codec pack. It has almost every codec known to man in it.
it may not have had any video
