To help people who have serious diseases like cancer.
To help people make decisions about life's problems.
To give legal advice about drug laws.

1. This is not an 'advice column', it's a question and answer site.
2. You're apparently referring to some existent column with specific issues. We have no idea what you're referring to or why you're asking. Try again. What is the general purpose of ';advice'; columns like this one?
Yahoo Answers is exactly as it states. People ask and answer questions. No one is getting paid to offer advice. People that do that have a ton of experts at their disposal. I do worry about people who ask questions about taking drugs.
If they're depending on YA, they could get some really bad advice.
