If you could ask advice on anything what would it be? (10 for the best)?

what would you ask advice about? best answer gets 10 pointsIf you could ask advice on anything what would it be? (10 for the best)?
I would ask if I'm thinking too much into things. Like, over analyzing the situation. (being a girl, we do that alot)If you could ask advice on anything what would it be? (10 for the best)?
Sorry! I can't say! I'd be way too embarrassed to actually ask THAT question of anybody!
How do I get rid of my horrible cold?

  • My fianc茅e is considering joining the Navy, and I was looking for info on base life. Any advice?

    The schools on Navy bases are run by the local School District/County so you would have to find out when he gets his orders if it would be an option. Some states would require certification in their state so you will have to check the regulations for teachers. you can do substituting as an option at first if you can't get full time employment. The only exception to it being run by the county/School District if it is in overseas outside the US states and then it is run by Department of Defense. When you are married and he goes to his first command go to the FFSC - Fleet %26amp; Family Support Center, they offer employment fairs, Spouse 101 classes, budgeting classes, etc... That can offer you good information and help.

    Not always can you get into housing right on base or is all housing on base. Sometimes there is a wait up to 2 years to get into housing in some locations as they are remodeling it all. And in areas the majority of the military housing is actually off base. San Diego and Pearl Harbor are two examples of that. if you do get into housing then you are responsible for the care of the house, there is restrictions on what you can and can't do, how many pets, etc... You must pay for cable, internet and telephone, the rest they pay for under the BAH (housing allowance) he receives. In some places it is actually better to live in civilian housing because you can get more for what you are paying. If he is Jr Enlisted (E6 and below) and you do not have kids then you are limited to a 2 bedroom places. You might be able to find a 3 or 4 bedroom house off base for the same amount or if you find a 2 bedroom place you don't pay out as much in rent %26amp; utilities so you pocket the rest.

    In housing you are around other spouses whose husbands are in the military. It can be good and bad at the same time. Sometimes you make great friends who last a lifetime and in other times you don't meet anyone at all because everyone keeps to themselves. Out in town you might meet people in your area and you might not it honestly depends on where you are and what you are doing. Definitely try out the command's FRG - Family Readiness Group it can give you information about the command and help while they are deployed.

    on base there is usually a gym, theater, bowling alley, then there is the commissary (grocery store) and exchange (department store) that are for military personnel and their dependents to use.My fianc茅e is considering joining the Navy, and I was looking for info on base life. Any advice?
    navy housing is hard to come by and not on the actual base its outside of it

    its basically civilian for you since you are a civilian also unless your married you get nothing

    you can apply and get work at the exchange at what not

    once married you will get bah for rent and when hes out to sea for longer than 30 days you will get separation pay

    ship life is hard he will be gone more than he is home. ships o out to sea for work ups and training every few weeks for weeks at a time

    you will be alone a lot one thing to do is get in touch with his ships frg group he will get the info from his command know who your ombudsmen are and how to reach them

    good luck its hard life but well worth itMy fianc茅e is considering joining the Navy, and I was looking for info on base life. Any advice?
    OK WOW living on base is NOTHING like Army Wives!! Nor is all housing or even most housing OFF base. Most housing is on base and depending on rank and or dependent status. If you have a teaching degree that is great. Most of the time the elementary school is on base, and there is a program on every base for spouse employment. I would tell you that getting a job on base is really easy but that is not true sometimes depending on what base you are on. There is a lot of good and bad about living on base. I love my neighbor, I hate the rest of the people on this street!! Just be ready because the Navy can deploy often. It does not always happen but it does happen. As far as living off base you should discuss that later. It will be really hard to do at the first duty station. Check the BAH and what rent really cost in that area. Think about the bills and things like that. If he is just joining you will not be making much money for a while so living on base could be good because you don't have to worry about rent, or living off base in a cheap apartment and you get to keep the BAH.

    I know this because I use to be in the Navy myself and now married to a Marine and live on my third base
    id live off base, youd get more money for housing and more choice of where you live. you can always get a job on base and live off base.

    say you were out with your friends and you had a few drinks, lets just say you cant drive on base with even a few drinks. check points.
    base life is pretty good it is like living in a community but if you are married you may be able to live off base in a town house or whatever you find that the navy is willing to pay.but i think you would have to enlist to work there
    Live on Base if you want to make friends just like you. (first duty station)

    Live off Base if you have no kids and don't care being friends with other Navy spouses.

    Watch Army Wives that show is somewhat helpful
    if you're not married you wont get anything...

    living on base is good, utilities are paid for

    if you choose to live off base then you gt more

    money but utilities arent paid for..

    Is it possible for an adult to get dating advice from a teenage since the adult has never managed to do it?

    My step nephew has a girlfriend it seems, I have never managed it. (I have social anxiety disorder mixed with Asperger's Syndrome, not a good combination.)Is it possible for an adult to get dating advice from a teenage since the adult has never managed to do it?
    I would suggest that you deal with one situation at a time. Develop coping skills to manage your social anxiety disorder and then move on to dating. Mature teens will have good advice for other teens, but if you want a mature adult outlook, seek advice from a mature adult.

    I just need some advice about being married and in the military! please be serious...?

    well. thats a tough one. Its going to be kind of hard to be married and not live together. that is why the military has a higher divorce rate than civilian life. there are benefits to being married though. you get more money and she gets health care. i know people who get married just for those alone. the downside is you always have to worry about Jody. He is the guy sleep with the wives, while the husbands are deployed or in the field. Its something we can't answer here. It has to be figured out by the two of you.I just need some advice about being married and in the military! please be serious...?
    Well think of it this way. In a way it's good to be a part from each other for a while. What will happen to her when you deploy. I know totally different. Deployment is not by choice. but it does help getting used to time apart. Sometimes long distance relationships are the way worth the try!!!!

    good luckI just need some advice about being married and in the military! please be serious...?
    My mother was an army wife for just over 20 years. The thing that seemed to help her the most was the support and friendship of her fellow army wives. My dad had to travel alot in his position within the army and the other wives who were in the same boat all rallied around and supported each other. When one of the guys that dad worked with got injured and had to stay in hospital for a while his wife didn't have to cook a meal for about the first six weeks. There was a casserole or some other meal left on her doorstep by one of her fellow army wives.
    What type of advice? Is it you or your spouse in the military? Was the military one in before you got married? If before, then you just have to adapt to the way things are run in the military. If you were married before the military, it is a whole new ballgame, and can be very stressful and difficult to accept the changes. I have been married for 5 years, and my husband joined while I was 6 months prego and we had been married for 2 years. I've come to accept how things work, but you have to constantly know in the back of your head that you can plan as much as you want, but the Army will mess up the best of your plans. There are several online support groups for spouses online that are really just to chat, vent, and get assistance with things you don't know. You can always contact me with questions about the Army, and I can try and help in whatever way I can.
    Its good, you get housing instead of barraks, more money. But make sure the other is 100% faithful, because there is a HIGH divorce/cheating percentage in the military
    What kind of advice? It's hard, no doubt. You'll end up in some place you never ever wanted to be and you'll have to make all new friends. You'll probably have to run a household alone. The good thing though, is that it will make you stronger than you ever thought you could possibly be. I'm really grateful for that. Saying goodbye never gets any easier, but it makes your time together that more special. It takes a strong women to marry a military man...and an ever stronger one to stick it out for 20 years. Welcome to the club, it's a hell of a ride and you'll love it!
    ok, my sister and her husband were in the navy together, thats how they met, for the past 2 years she has been a stay at home mum now, and her husband only gets to see her every few months, they have a wonderful relationship, it will be hard, she has told me how much she misses my brother-in-law, but they get through it, just means they have a fantastic time when they see eachother, they make every second the best. you can do it, will get easier with time.
    plenty of people get married while in the military! as long as you are truely willing to commit to the person and not fall into temptation, you should be fine. congrats and god speed!
    Well, I used to be in the military and I can say that the only way a marriage would work is if you both have 100% trust in the other person.... There is going to be a lot of times that you two will be seperated, and this times can and will be for a long period of time. And the old saying is still true, ';out of sight out of mind';. If you understand that. There will be plenty of chances that this relationship could go wrong, and it would be in your best interests that you both know each other and are totally trusting of the other for this to work.
    OK%26lt; so what is the question?
    So what is her ';style'; of music? I find that funny
    My wife and I were both in the Army. It worked out fine, we had no problems. Our daughter and her husband are both in the Navy. They make real good money and really like their jobs. Its worked out great for our familys. Good Luck
    Good luck. Tough road to travel. Both of you need to be mature, dedicated and patient. If not, ......
    Your question isnt really clear, but any one who fights for their country deserves a medal of honor.

    Need your advice: I am planning a birthday party for my husband.?

    It will be his 34. Anyway I want to have it at a local bar. I am: renting a pool table and provide food .

    What should I do about the drinks. These guys can drink. So I don't want to pay for all the drinks or all the beer. They don't sell pitchers of beer either.

    Should I just pay for the 1st and 2nd round? Will that be good enough?Need your advice: I am planning a birthday party for my husband.?
    I think this whole idea is a potential disaster. While the odds may favor that everything will go fine, there is the possibility that someone gets in a wreck and somebody gets killled on the way home from the party. Having thrown the party and yet failed to provide a way home for the drunken guests may be enough to prove you liable for bankrupting-type damages. Personally, I would never host a party at a bar and I would never provide drinks to the party-goers.Need your advice: I am planning a birthday party for my husband.?
    put some money behind the bar then when its gone they can buy their own drinks i've done that a few times and it works pretty well
    One of the ways you can limit your expenses in the liquor dept. is to purchase ahead of time from the restaurant, a set amount of tickets . As each guest arrives, hand them 1-2 tickets and their first drink(s) are on you and the rest is up to them. You can also ask if the restaurant has what they would call a 'corking fee', meaning; you bring your own stuff and they will charge you a small amount for opening it there. If a corking fee suits you, you may add to the invitation a 'no gifts please' and BYOB.

    One last thing; go into his classmates.com account and invite people he talks about, but has not done anything about initiating communication.
    If it's at a bar you are not obligated to buy the drinks. Appetizers and snacks would be just fine. Have fun!
    I think you should just stick to providing the food. Anyone that goes to a birthday party in a bar, knows they are paying for their own drinks. Plus you are liable if you pay for the drinks. Actually, you would split the liability with the bar because they should know when to cut someone off. Just pay for you and your husbands drinks.

    Have Fun!
    I think you should have it somewhere where you can buy pitchers or have a pony keg
    Good idea on paying for just the first two rounds. Keep in mind that most of your hubby's friends will buy his drinks, so you know they won't come to the party expecting not to spend money.
    hell No just pay for your husbands drink cuz if folks know you paying they will order the most expensive thing they can buy opps i mean you can buy (get it) so just get your husbands
    Best idea is to choose a different venue that serves pitchers.

    Otherwise, go ahead and buy the first round, plus food. If no one abuses your hospitality by ordering a $25 cognac, go ahead and pay for a second round. After that they are on their own.

    As far as the guest list, try to refrain from being in control on this one. Let HIM decide the guest list. Otherwise you are inviting disaster.

    The good thing about having it at a bar is that you are not responsible for how much the guests drink. The bartender is. And when they get drunk and obnoxious, its not your job to throw them out.

    I need advice what can i do if i suspect my neighbor's are trapping my cats or worse?

    i moved in this house 5 months ago within 5 months 4 cats of mine are gone never to be seen again,3 males and 1 female.(all at different times) my cats were indoor/outdoor.they stayed in the yard and hung out, they wernt old or sick. my daughter lives up the rd from me and her male cat is not fixed and he always comes home.this is why i think its the people next door.they might not like my cats around. i need to know what i can do or can i contact someone.and i have looked in the pound too. please help me! pls no joking!I need advice what can i do if i suspect my neighbor's are trapping my cats or worse?
    Keep the cats inside when they are unsupervised, for their safety. There are bad people out there and you never know who they are, they won't admit it anyway.I need advice what can i do if i suspect my neighbor's are trapping my cats or worse?
    Well, if you had kept your cats inside this would never have happend.

    you need to have control of your cats AT ALL TIMES, keep them on YOUR property and if they are off your property you have to have them on a leash.

    Your neighbor, if he is killing these cats is deffinatly in the wrong for doing that, maybe he is taking them to the shelter so they can find a good loving home.
    It's either kids or pets that cause the most trouble between neighbors. Your cats might be digging up your neighbor's prize dahlias. Since they're out when you're not, it is hard to tell. The neighbors are within their rights to trap the cats and call animal control as long as the cats are on their property. Another possibility is someone else picking the cats up. Sometimes cats are trapped and sold to laboratories for experiments. It might help if you had a ';chip'; put on your cat, or you could keep them indoors. They sleep a lot anyway so probably would get over it.
    There could be multiple reasons --highly aggressive raccoons, dogs (ALL our strays here are deathly afraid of dogs) that wander and attack, owls (great horned owls kill skunks and rabbits, they can kill cats too), kids, and ANY neighbor in a 4 house area is suspect. If you have coyotes in your city, it's probably that....unfortunately coyotes eat household pets any chance they get. We have them in Milwaukee now and they've done a lot of damage here.

    I'd suggest talking to your neighbor over the weekend, just raising the subject that there don't seem to be any strays in the area, do they know what's going on. This keeps you from pointing a finger at them and they might share what they've been doing, if they're the ones doing it.

    I'd also make a report out with animal control, the humane society and possibly the police.

    Your best course of action is to build a backyard enclosure to keep your cats safe. After the second one failed to come home, that should have given you notice to keep them 100% inside in this environment. I'd be heartsick knowing four were missing.
    You know there are other ways for cats to come up missing than your neighbor's doing things to them.

    Like a busy road and wild animals.

    it would be my guess that since you are in a new area that the cats dont know and that you have no proof of anything else that your cats could have been taken by another animal in your area.
    Let your neighbor know your cats are missing. Ask them if they have seen them or seen any dogs around that could have hurt them. Check their reaction-are they concerned or indifferent? Their response can tell you alot. Put up missing signs and let the neighborhood know how much your cats mean to you. Go out with your cats if you let the others out anymore. If you still suspect your neighbor after talking with them mention that ';relocating'; cats is a crime and if any more of your cats go missing, you will have to involve the Humane Society. You have do this tactfully. Make it a statement rather than an accusation. Another suggestion is to go door to door and ask if anyone has seen them. A lady down my street found her missing kitty while walking through the neighborhood. A woman had taken her in as a stray. Finally, if your kitties came up missing at night, You may have a predator getting them. NEVER leave your cats outside at night. I'm sorry about your kitties.
    Definately microchip your cats, that way if they are being sold/given to a shelter, they are more likely to come home to you.
    keep your cats at home in the house where they belong and then you won't have to worry about it.

    i love cats, don't get me wrong - i have 9 of my own

    if my neighbors cat came into my yard, i wouldn't think twice about trapping it. i have asked him several times to keep his cat out of my yard, so he has been warned. i don't want someone else's cat coming into my yard, possibly spreading disease that i could carry in to my cats. they are strictly indoors - the closest they get to being outdoors except for going to the vet - is laying in the window seats that i have set up for them in almost every window in my house.

    Organic chemistry questions...any advice will be greatly appreciated!!?

    Can anyone help me draw these 2 compounds..

    2z,4z hexadiene and 2z4e hexadiene

    thank you for your help!Organic chemistry questions...any advice will be greatly appreciated!!?
    It would be easier to show if we could draw on here haha!

    Anyway, you start out by recognizing that the carbon chain is hexane (6 carbons). Second, you recognize that the ';diene'; tells you that there are two double bonds and finally you notice that the numbers and letters in front of the name tell you where the double bonds are and the stereochemistry. (z) means that the double bond is ';cis'; while (e) means that the double bond is ';trans. So, for 2z,4z, hexadiene, you would draw a hexane chain with double bonds between carbons 2-3, and carbons 4-5 drawing both of these double bonds ';cis';. The second compound would be drawn the same except the double bond between carbons 4-5 will be drawn trans. Draw it out and you'll see it's pretty simple!Organic chemistry questions...any advice will be greatly appreciated!!?
    The only difference between the two compounds is that in the first one, the ';z'; notation indicates that the high priority groups at position two's double bond termini are ';zusammen'; or on the same side of the double bond. (i.e. ';cis'; to each other).

    The ';e'; notation tells us that the high priority groups at the fourth position's double bond termini are ';entgegen,'; or in opposing positions relative the double bonded carbons they have between them. (i.e. ';trans'; to each other.)

    So, the 2z,4z hexadiene would look like this, roughly:

    \__/'''''''''\.

    While the 2z,4e hexadiene would look like this, roughly:

    ~~~__/
    \__/
    *All horizontal lines are double, pi bonds between carbons at 2 and 4 (with those at 3 and 5, respectively)
    *Ignore the little squiggles, they are just there to hold the spaces - only pay attention to the lines.
    Er... just go to the link and open the powerpoint.
    Best of luck!
  • Is it possible to get a car loan with my current credit status? Please Help me with some advice.?
    I am 28. There are two defaults on my CR rating, both paid. One of these comes off my file in 60 days. I am currently on 55K, and will move to 62K in the next month, and have been fully employed at the same company for 2 years. Currently No mortgage, No credit card and No loans.Is it possible to get a car loan with my current credit status? Please Help me with some advice.?
    I think you're going to be totally fine. Your interest rate might not be great, but car salesmen will approve just about anyone for vehicle financing. Your situation doesn't even sound that bad; you'd probably be ok to get a 10k loan even from a bank if that wasn't such a slow process. I'd suggest putting 7 or 8k down and keeping the extra 2 or 3k in the bank for a future emergency. The dealership will let you know for sure, but I think you'll find the process pretty easy if you're willing to put 33% down on a 20k car.
    I've bookmarked this site to go back to next time I need a loan...
    All the best to you.Is it possible to get a car loan with my current credit status? Please Help me with some advice.?
    Yes, but it depends on who wants the business. Car companies because of the economy are almost giving cars away. Since you are 28 I assume this may be your first car since you are not doing a trade-in. I recommend you save your money and pay cash. If you are desperate buy a used car. Most used car companies are looking for get it sold now money. $500.00 used. With your income you can work on a used one yourself if you can find a good mechanic. It can be fun if you are a person that loves making your own accomplishments. Options now in the economy is buy hybrid/no fuel vehicles. Talk to an auto mechanic they give good advice. Good luck!
    How much of a car loan are you trying to get?
    What is your credit score? You have to have atleast a credit card to establish credit.
    You may be able to get a car loan. I can't say for certain. You need to establish credit.
    What was the best advice you got in church?
    My Sunday School teacher spend one service explaining why we should never get a credit card. He taught us to live within our means.
    (The rest of the time, I was being asked to believe a outrageous tale or another)What was the best advice you got in church?
    Why worry about what other imperfect people think about you?
    It's probably the only good advice I've ever gotten from going to a church.What was the best advice you got in church?
    Don't take money out of the offering plate.
    Don't chew the gum you find under the bench.
    Don't wipe boogers on the hand rests.
    Never let wet or loud farts during the sermon.
    No laughing allowed.
    Crying is encouraged.
    Shake hands after using the bathroom.
    Don't color or write in the books provided.
    Absolutely nothing....unless bad advice counts? I have plenty of bad advice from churches!
    Don't make change in the plate as it passes .... it has served me well.
    I am taking my first singing lessons ever! Need help and advice?
    I am taking singing lessons on Saturday. I have wanted to sing for a long time, but have never had the courage to do so.
    I am getting really scared.
    What advice can you give me so I am not so nervous? And any ideas on how to warm up my voice?I am taking my first singing lessons ever! Need help and advice?
    First of all, take some nice deep breaths. This will help you to relax. Next, understand that everyone in the class is there to learn, and they are just as nervous as you are. There will be someone there who is better than you, but there will be someone there who is not as good as you in some areas, too. We all learn from each others' strengths *and* weaknesses. Drink lots of water and get plenty of rest. Your voice is affected by everything that happens to your body, so you need to take care of it. On your way to your lesson, continue to breathe and do some sighing. It will open your throat and relax your voice and your nerves. Good luck, and have fun!I am taking my first singing lessons ever! Need help and advice?
    I sing and there is no reason to be nervous...all they do is give you a song and teach you how to sing it. If you worry, you'll o worse..Singing lessons are so much fun!Hope I Helped!
    Remember the other students are there to learn too, so you're all in the same boat. And they are usually very supportive and helpful. Don't drink caffeine before lessons though. Good luck and have fun. : )
    there is no reason for gettin nervous at all.
    u have to enter d class, wish d teacher, answer whatever he/she asks n follow his instructions. that`s it.
    Don't worry. If you have a good (or even an ordinary) singing teacher they will go through warm-up excersizes with you!
    Your singing teacher is the person you can trust to sing badly in front of!
    One little thing that a lot forget - Make sure you're hydrated. Drink enough water to keep your airways open.
    I am planning a trip to hawaii in jan '09. any advice when to travel to get the best airline fares?
    I am leaving from cleveland going to honolulu. Last I checked about 1 month ago they were about 600 round trip. now they are almost 1000.00. I know flights are going up but that seems like a big jump.I am planning a trip to hawaii in jan '09. any advice when to travel to get the best airline fares?
    You should be able to get the best prices in airline travel to Hawaii anytime from mid January till mid April. That is their slow season if you want to call anytime kind of slow in Hawaii. I would wait till after the summer to really start looking daily for good airline prices. Also, if possible look at flying midweek too.I am planning a trip to hawaii in jan '09. any advice when to travel to get the best airline fares?
    Unless a major airline comes into the Hawaii market, the prices will not be going down in the near future. If you were able to grab a ticket for $600 last month, you should've taken that one while you could beause you're unlikely to see it again.
    The fares will normally go down a bit after the summer rush so logically you should be able to get something a bit more reasonable in October. However, with the monopoly that Hawaiian airlines is creating in Hawaii and the rising gas costs, anything that is ';normal'; isn't true anymore.
    Good luck, happy hunting, and happy travels!
    Prices will come down after college students start going back to school which is typically the first two weeks of January. But because of the loss of Aloha Airlines and ATA, and major airlines consolidating, prices will still be high.
    My bf used to be a heroin junkie,he has been clean for 2 years,but says he is having alot of cravings? advice?
    he says he has alot of cravings and that he hasnt and doesnt want to do it. but i worry that he will relapse. if you have any knowledge or experience please help me.My bf used to be a heroin junkie,he has been clean for 2 years,but says he is having alot of cravings? advice?
    Addiction of any kind is chronic, irreversible and incurable. An addict which has been ';clean'; for an extended, uninterrumped period, and still craves the drug, may again relapse into his/her habit if he/she doesn't get IMMEDIATE help and support. Your bf should seek help RIGHT NOW, or he is in great danger of going back to his old ways. Your support is of extreme importance, as you are the person closest to him right now. There are medications which can help diminish the cravings (e.g. Suboxone, ReVia), but these are only available through some state and private programs, since only a few MD's with special training and licensing can prescribe them. While the patient is on these medications, if he uses even an insignificant amount of heroin, the body goes into an instantaneous and full-fledged ';Abstinence Syndrome';. A friend of mine had this extremely unpleasant experience; he lost control of his bowels and bladder, had excruciating bone and joint pain, uncontrollable vomiting, and became so weak that he couldn't get out of bed for almost a week. This is a powerful detterent to drug use, but phsychological support is imperative, as well as support by friends and family. But, if your BF refuses to seek help, my best advice is that you should pack your things and RUN, if you don't want to end up squeezed out of your last penny, or selling your body to support his habit (which he may force you to do when desperate for a ';fix';).My bf used to be a heroin junkie,he has been clean for 2 years,but says he is having alot of cravings? advice?
    get him into support groups
    That is normal, and he will probably have some level of craving for the rest of his life.
    The best thing you can do to help is to be supportive enough for him to be able to tell you that (which he did) and also to tell you if he slips up.
    Beating an addiction, any addiction, is extremely difficult. By being able to listen to him and to be able to ask him how he is doing in a non-judgemental way (but still getting outside help if need be) and without being an enabler (letting him rationalize that this ONE time is okay) you are doing the best you can.
    In other words, if he says he almost did some, or even if he did do some, don't hey angry and yell. Acknowledge what he did, don't give an inch that what he did was wrong, make sure he sees that it was wrong, and tell him you want to help make things better.
    Ultimately it is up to him, and only up to him, to be able to quit. But having the strong support of someone he loves and cares for is very, very helpful.
    Send him back to rehab or other appropriate treatment. Is he hanging out with new friends? Ultimately, you may have to leave him.
    Get him some help, now before it will be to late.
    Run away as fast as you can.
    Is Rush Limbaugh Able To Predict What Liberals Will Do Next OR Do The Libs Listen To Him & Take His Advice?
    Rush always tells us what`s going to happen, and he is always right. WHY ? Can he see into the future or do the liberals that listen to him secretly value his opinions ?Is Rush Limbaugh Able To Predict What Liberals Will Do Next OR Do The Libs Listen To Him %26amp; Take His Advice?
    He predicts it. But that doesn't make him smart.
    Liberals are pretty simple-minded, so they are easy to predict.Is Rush Limbaugh Able To Predict What Liberals Will Do Next OR Do The Libs Listen To Him %26amp; Take His Advice?
    Apparently Liberals listen to all of the conservative talk show hosts as they always know what they are saying!! That way, they can make up their rhetoric when they come on here and other boards! Without the government telling them what they need to know, they can't make any decisions on a subject!
    I think the Oxycontins have given him a sixth sense. I think his listeners should follow suit and overdose on his sixth sense. Yes. Go to the light. Go to the light!
    He predicts the obvious but pretends that only he knows but puts his own spin on reality. You can get he same information from PBS without the spin.
    Aw man, I love ';Tom Sawyer'; and ';Subdivisions';....oh wait, you mean that ';other'; Rush...
    He is smarter than anything the liberal left wing idiot loons and their 'FOR SALE MSM' stations can offer. Libs are clueless and simpletons.
    Let's just say he can be an extremely insightful individual.
    and after you wake up you find that you have Wet the Bed again, eh.....?
    With Republican's loose grasp of reality, it is easy to make it look that way.
    I can SEE the future
    Libs following orders from Rush? Right on.
    I think he might have swallowed a crystal ball. He is amazing.
    What is the best advice you can give a new author?
    I have been writing for a couple of years now, and sometimes it gets really discouraging. Writing a book is a huge mountain to climb. I know it has been done many times by others, and if they can do it then so can I. But in my times of doubt, what would you say to cheer me up?
    thanks everyoneWhat is the best advice you can give a new author?
    Have something new to say... yes, quite.
    Which is it - best advice or something to cheer you up? The two aren't necessarily compatible. Assuming that it doesn't deter you that most books that are started are never finished, and most books that finished are never published, the best advice I can give is:
    - Some writers plan every last detail before they start writing. Others make everything up as they go along. Most are somewhere in between. None of these is right or wrong, but you need to figure out which approach will work for you.
    - Write something every day, even if it's only a sentence. This is the best preventative I've found for writer's block. By writing regularly, you keep the story fresh in your mind, and you're thinking about it when you're not writing. So when you sit down to write, you have some idea what you're going to say.
    - Join a critique group. They will tell you what your friends and family are too afraid (or too ignorant) to tell you - what's wrong with your book and what you can do to fix it.
    - Don't try to edit as you go along, because if you do, you'll never finish the book. Write the first draft, no matter how rough. You don't have to show it to anyone. If you change your mind about something major halfway through, make a note to fix it when you edit. Let the book sit for a while, to give yourself some mental distance from it. Then start editing.
    - Set a daily or weekly target for how many words you're going to write. If you can stick to it, this gives you some idea of when you can expect to finish the book, which gives you a goal to aim for. It takes me six months to a year to do a first draft.
    Good luck, and don't take it too seriously.What is the best advice you can give a new author?
    Write something every day, be it a diary, a journal, an observation, a conversation overheard at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, an incident at a bus stop, a feeling, anything and everything you see, hear, smell, taste, touch, or feel.
    You'll be amazed at what you have collected in your writings.
    Then one day you will expand on one thought, incident, or feeling and off you'll go--writing like a madman.
    Happens to me all the time.
    1: You need an idea for a story
    2: Have your charaters inline
    3: Figure out how they know each other or how they will meat.
    4: And Have LOTS of fun!
    A 57y/o friend is going for a knee replacement surgery. Any advice or online resources to learn more?
    Please feel free to share any online resources that you think will help before and after the operation. ThanksA 57y/o friend is going for a knee replacement surgery. Any advice or online resources to learn more?
    Before I got arthritis, I enjoyed an active lifestyle that included swimming, walking, bicycling.. But when I started getting arthritis, everyday life became difficult. The more I walked the worse it [the arthritis pain] got, the pain was like a knife twisting inside. Sometimes my knee would give out, it just wouldn't support me. Then there was the sharp pain. Before surgery, the pain was absolutely debilitating. I was getting totally disabled. I couldn't walk. I couldn't stand. That's when I decided that I needed to do something. Once at church I met an very old friend of mine who suffered from the same pain as mine and that鈥檚 when she recommended me Fly2india4health Consultants in India , my first thought about surgery in India was fear. I researched on my condition and my possible treatment options. I also spoke with the associate orthopedic surgeon with Fly2india4health Consultants who gave me educational material to help set my expectations after surgery. I was also been told that I would be up the same day as surgery and I was. The most important thing after the surgery is exercise. After surgery, I didn't have to take a lot of pain medication - maybe for 2 or 3 days. I attribute that to the skill of my surgeon. I was driving two weeks after surgery, Had I known it was going to be this easy, I would have had it done much earlier. If u need any orthopaedic care I will certainly advice you to go to Fly2india4health Consultants!
    I have been dizzy and gross feeling for a week, I need advice?
    I have a 6 month old, work full time and just keep going. I have been feeling real sick, weak and dizzy. Is this just from being run down? I have no other symptoms I do not want to run to my doc like a lunatic. Can sleep deprivation cause all this?I have been dizzy and gross feeling for a week, I need advice?
    Absolutely - if you can - ask someone you trust (spouse, mother-in-law, friend, neighbor) if they'll watch the baby for a few hours. (If you're nursing-pump a bottle) - Tell them you're feeling bad %26amp; are exhausted - that you will be at home - but are turning off the phone (do it) - and will call when you get up. Eat something healthy - even a bowl of cereal, drink a glass of water (in case you're a little dehydrated) - Take 1/2 of a Tylenol PM (tablet) - so you can sleep without dreaming - (should last for 3-4 hours) - darken your bedroom - and take a nice long nap -- You should feel a million times better when you get up -- take a long shower - eat a small meal ( to keep your blood sugar up) -and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Tylenol PM has the same as Benadryl in it - you may be feeling dizzy if you have fluid from congestion in your ear. Dehydration and low blood sugar can cause the ';yucky'; feeling also - Hopefully, the decongestant, sleep and hydration will have you feeling better --I have been dizzy and gross feeling for a week, I need advice?
    Have you had your blood sugar and/or blood pressure checked recently? Your blood sugar could be low, or your blood pressure could be too high or low. Being that you have a six month old that you're responsible for, I would suggest erring on the side of safety. Its better to run to the doctor simply to find out ';nothing is wrong';, than to ignore it simply to find out ';something was horribly wrong.';
  • Brits only please. Is there somewhere adults can go for careers advice like we used to get in school?
    I really could use some advice on what my options are and what courses I should be looking at as a mature student hoping for a career change. Is there somewhere that offers this service (not the job centre, unless they've changed drastically in the last 8yrs)? Prefferably I'd be looking for free advice in central London.Brits only please. Is there somewhere adults can go for careers advice like we used to get in school?
    don't go to connections. they. are. ****.Brits only please. Is there somewhere adults can go for careers advice like we used to get in school?
    The careers advice people in the UK are there to give advice to adults too. They don't discriminate. Also, you can go along to college or university open days for ideas and advice.
    Go to your nearest college and ask to speak to the careers advisory officer. They will tell you what courses they have available to your needs and what funding you can claim.
    You may need to go to university depending on how far you want to go, but the basic NVQ structure should be in their curriculum.
    I would try connexions to be honest.
    Alternatively go back to job centre plus (I think adding the plus on the end is probably the drastic change of the last 8 years!) and give it a shot.
    To be honest I have no idea how good either of these places will be but I would give them a try if you havn't been in a while.
    Try Connections, it offers career advice, and then shows you what routes you can take.
    I'm not a Brit... but you can meet with an Academic Advisor at any university and they'll help you out and give you information about faculties you might be interested in and such..
    If you only want Brits to answer why don't you go on the UK site?
    I am buying my first digital slr camera and I need advice.?
    I want 8mp, 15X optical zoom ( ?) fast shutter speed and good memory. I am looking at HP, Olympus, Canon, but I am open to suggestions. I want good close up shots - I will be using for action photos and portraits and nature shotsI am buying my first digital slr camera and I need advice.?
    Well fist of all, HP does not make a DSLR and no DSLR comes with any lenses discribed with x factor optical zooms. .... They all use optical zooms. I think, perhaps, you are talking about SLR-like cameras
    Look here for some data on two of the largest makers of pro SLR cameras
    http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/rebel-x鈥?/a>I am buying my first digital slr camera and I need advice.?
    Is Ken Rockwell scripture?
    You might consider a point and shoot type camera as your first endeavor. Fuji f50fd is a good example.
    Well you are missing out on some good DSLR like cameras. I myself own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 and the camera is a gem as far as i am concerned. Why should i go out and spend a fortune on lenses when i have a great lens that is 12X optical zoom? Then i can add on a 1.7x tele convertor. They say bridge cameras can not compete with DSLR's but there are alot of people out there that are disagreeing. I spent a total of $400 for my camera and then another $200 on filters, memory cards and a bag.
    Fujifilm just came out with a new model called the S100FS that is 11mp and olympus just came out with a 20x optical zoom that has manual focus and zoom. you should reconsider the benefits and not look at these cameras like they are diseased.
    According to your specs, getting a dSLR system with 15x zoom will be somewhat expensive.
    Forget about HP. They don't make dSLR cameras and their ';advanced'; digital cameras simply suck.
    Personally, I would not consider getting an Olympus (Four-thirds), due to high noise levels in high ISO settings.
    You can go for Canon, or even Nikon. Both brands offer great cameras, great lenses (and a wide variety of them), and several accessories.
    Canon has a better ISO performance due to their CMOS sensor.
    Nikon take the lead in build quality, ergonomics and durability.
    My recommendation would be getting the following:
    For Canon: Digital Rebel XSi (body only) + EF 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 USM lens. This setting will give you about 7X zoom, and will cost about $1159.94.
    For Nikon: D60 (with kit lens) + Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR. This setting will give you about 11X zoom, and will cost about $ 956.94.
    Hope this helps!
    I would definitely recommend canon. Canon will give you everything great from close macro shots to far away sports action spots. It is the most reliable in my opinion.
    What is some good advice for a beginner skateboarder? ?
    I see people doing it all the time and some of my friends are into it and I wanna give it a shot. But the thing is I have no idea how too. I know where a skate park building is but it's real far out and I don't want to waste money by going there every time I want to try. I have flat ground near me if that helps?
    What should I do?What is some good advice for a beginner skateboarder? ?
    First... get a decent board. Order one from CCS.com or talk to your local shop. Guys who run skate shops are usually really great with advising beginners on where to go or what to do.
    Secondly, use your flat ground. The first thing you should learn is to ollie without moving and then while moving and there isn't anything at a skatepark that'll speed that up.
    Thirdly, Youtube. Youtube has an amazing amount of tutorial videos for skaters. I wish I had it when I was younger.
    I am a general contractor doing a re-roofing job. Need advice from professional roofer.?
    the roof has only 1 layer presently so i am going to just roof over the old roof ( its in pretty good shape). the roof consists of several gable roof lines that dead-end into vertical walls (where there is, of course, step-flashing. my question is: do i need to install new step flashing with the new shingles or can i get by without it (so long as i don't nail thru the flashing)? thankx in advanceI am a general contractor doing a re-roofing job. Need advice from professional roofer.?
    This is a question best asked by the city inspector. I have had roofs done where the inspector was OK without a second set of step flashing and another inspector in the same city insist new flashing as put down with the new roof.I am a general contractor doing a re-roofing job. Need advice from professional roofer.?
    You could probably get away with it, but you would essentially be relying on the old roof. It would be best to do it right and install new flashing. Besides, things like that can come back to bite you in the a** somwhere down the road. If it does leak, it's not going to look good for you if you skipped a step.
    always put new step flashing on an also make sure you tuck it under the siding somehow to prevent water from getting behind it. as always better safe than sorry the cost of a few ';tin shingles'; is nothing compared to the cost of replacing drywall due to a leaky roof
    What is your best advice on Brazilian waxing?
    Do you get the same results @ home?What is your best advice on Brazilian waxing?
    ha at home....never do it yourself unless you can stand to inflict pain upon your self and not quit halfway through.
    I hurts like hell...i have to get it done professionally because they do it quick and it is far less painful in one rip.
    i chickened out and ended up with a strip because it hurt too much to continue. i personally recommend a professional do it.
    But if you want to do it at home use surgi wax it is the least painful...its what my friends use...they can stand the pain, me i prefer a professional...good luckWhat is your best advice on Brazilian waxing?
    You don't get the best result at home. You can't reach the back or the inner part. I charged $40.00 including the butt/crack . It is worth it.
    Report Abuse
    That sounds even more painful than getting it done by a professional!
    I'd say you wouldn't get the same results, as it will be harder to see all the hair that needs to be waxed, as well as keeping it taut and pulling the strips off at the same time! I've tried waxing my under arms, and find this very difficult, and flinching in pain makes it harder!
    I have never tried it, but I have heard it hurts like hell. I cant stand an eyebrow wax so I shave.
    see a professional. unless you want one or more of your friends to see you before, during, and after the waxing. not to mention having an amateur PULLING OUT YOUR PUBIC HAIR. Oh the pain of it all.
    just do it, its silk smooth.
    As far as free advice, you can speak with one of your high school counselors or one of your teachers. Once you get to college, there are also many counselors that you can discuss the problem with, including career counselors and counselors for specific majors.
    Start your own biz. People like you shouldn't be building other people's bank accounts. I did that for long enough and was sick of having a boss, crazy schedules, and customers/clients. I finally found something that didn't have any. It was great.
    Check it out. I'll be honest, any business, you get out what you put it, but this biz is like 3rd grade status here. check out this site.
  • Being a Christian and being into heavy metal. Can I have some advice here?
    I like heavy metal and I got invited to a show tonight. The opening act is called Ritual Infanticide and the headliner is called Christanic Bitchlords of Satan. They are both local bands with reputations for really good music but really evil lyrics. Something in me says don't go, but part of me says it's just music, go. What do I do?Being a Christian and being into heavy metal. Can I have some advice here?
    well, i think your priests who molest little children, altar boys, etc, would not mind... i mean, they probably jesus died for their sins and yours so u have a free ticket to paradise... and u can molest your way there ... ?? sound a little pagan and filthy ? yes ? well, maybe because it is !! makes sense ? u know it does ! worship God alone ! think !Being a Christian and being into heavy metal. Can I have some advice here?
    art is art, it has many levels of interpretations. I like heavy metal as much as the next guy, but something tells me that if this group has to resort to shock tactics to get an audience, they probably suck as musicians.
    And don't believe the 'reputation for being good', most people have lousy taste in music. Keep looking for good music. Try Dream Theater if you want a really 'heavy' band, them compare them to these little local yokels.
    Reverse your thinking maybe in the sense of:
    Can it be really good music if the lyrics sux?
    Or...
    Why do you want to go to this very concert...if it REALLY isnt satanic but ';just music'; you could go to any other concert w/out any concern, so what pulls you there??
    It isn't just music. Music is spiritual...it affects your spirit. Act accordingly.
    It's just music. I've always held the belief that if you don't actually believe in the lyrics or do what they say, than it's alright.
    You shouldn't miss a band calling itself ';Christianic Bitchlords of Satan';, they've got to be good.
    The ';something'; in you saying don't go is the Holy Spirit.
    go and have a good time
    Is baby coming soon i am 38 weeks pregnant and need advice?
    I am 38 weeks pregnant,and have been having pains in my legs,menstrual pains and tummy is very hard and lower back pain... is my baby due soon?Is baby coming soon i am 38 weeks pregnant and need advice?
    Braxton Hicks are a sign that your body is gearing up for labour, it doesn't mean that labour is starting. It still could be 3 weeks before you have the baby, if you have lost your mucus plug then it's more likely.
    Braxton hicks are irregular, to be in labour the contractions need to be regular and building in strength.
    If all these things are happening then it would be time to call your midwife or doctor.
    Good luck these are all positive signs.Is baby coming soon i am 38 weeks pregnant and need advice?
    Backache or that aching heavy feeling some women get before their periods is a sign of labour but can also be your body preparing for labour. If you start having contractions or you lose your mucus plug or your waters break then it will be early labour but your not in established labour until your at least 3cm dilated so if you are in labour then it could still be a while before baby is born.
    Remember you know your body better then anyone and there is nothing to stop you from phoning your midwife or hospital and asking them for advice.
    you probably have braxton hicks if so yes the baby is coming soon
    Does anyone have advice for fear of vomiting or even being around it?
    My fear of vomiting has gotten so bad that I can't even take care of my 14 month old daughter who right now has the stomach virus. I've had this fear all my life and when it comes to stomach virus season I'm a mess. I feel so alone and like such an inadequate parent. I've been to therapy on and off for almost all my life and nothing seems to work. This fear is interfering with my whole life style and my relationships. Is there any advice for such a stupid but serious problem?Does anyone have advice for fear of vomiting or even being around it?
    You are not alone. A lot of people share this phobia. Have you checked out this website http://www.emetophobia.org/emetophobia%2鈥?/a> I almost seclude myself and my children for 2 months because of the fear of the stomach flu. (Unfortunatley this year it didn't matter, we got it). I actually even pull my 3 %26amp; 5 year old out of preschool for about 2 months because of it. And you should see my hands, they are completely dried from all the hand washing. Its annoying, we can clone a sheep and do limb transplants, but we can't figure out a medicine to get rid of the stomach flu?! I wish I had some advice for you, but all I can do is let you know you are not the only one with this issue:-)
    Why are there so many people in here giving bad advice?
    Please do not mislead people who ask questions. If you do not know the answer, do not post.
    Anyway, I'm done ranting.Why are there so many people in here giving bad advice?
    Don't mind them, they are point addictsWhy are there so many people in here giving bad advice?
    It depends on the system: It doesn't matter, what you write as an answer, you get points!!In my opinion it must be possible to rate answers as ';not helpful';,';nonsense'; or ';bulls******'; and such a answer get no points!
    Since they may b saying...';..take my advice, I don't use it nywys...';
    Well if you ask a stupid question you're going to get a stupid answer.
    They do it because they can, there are no real rules here.
    Well ur sure annoyed over someone but u cant go on shooting up people.
    Seriously. You should have seen this one answer on a thread about going to law school. First the person kept adding -ly to words and making them nonwords, like ';firstly,'; ';secondly,'; etc. Then she recommend that the asker waste his time and money on a review course for the LSAT when independent study after study have shown that such course have no impact on a person's score. She also recommended that the asker major in English in college, which would have been of little use to the asker in law school. The answerer also claimed that an internship at a law firm would be valuable to gaining admission to law school, when, in truth, it is no more valuable than any other type of work, and maybe even a little less so. To top it all of she referred to the degree as a ';juris doctorate'; as opposed to the correct ';juris doctor.';
    Some people don't have a clue.
    Some people have nothing better to do, some want to help and mean well, others think that they know Everything, those that think they are funny and those that just want there 2 points. Unfortunately, you will find these people everywhere you go. I personally get a kick out of reading these questions and answers just to see what on earth goes on in some peoples heads. I guess this is why you get to choose who you think posted the best answer. Don't be too bothered by this, there are those folks out there that are serious and do really want to offer you good advice. Just try and have fun with it and hope that at least one person that answers your question knows what the hell they are talking about! It's just like everything else in life, some people will rather not have to work and just take the 2 points and then theres those that would rather work a little harder and go for the gold and get the 10 points.
    because people have nothing better to do and give those people offering genuine advice - a bad name!!
    come down off your tower dude
    Is it a competitive thing: the idea of collecting points etc?
    Not that the points amount to a pinch of sht.
    because they are weirdos lol, and once i put a question about relationships as lesbiasm and i get dumb answers from men, even they are wrong lol, Susie
    Because there are a lot of very adolescents that think it is cute. There are also lots of just plain stupid questions that get posted, and some that are just wrong.
    I fell in love with a married man and it is so hard to stay away from him. Any advice?
    I'm in love with a married man and I tried everything possible to keep myself away from him. I know it's my fault and that I should have known better. I learned it the hard way. I prayed every night for my wrong doing and am trying very hard to move on.I fell in love with a married man and it is so hard to stay away from him. Any advice?
    Evaluate the pros and cons. Be honest about what you want out of life.
    We all make mistakes and bad choices. That is what life is about...learning from them! If you know this is wrong, and that it will hurt you and affect you for a long time, then seek professional help.
    Stop seeing him and avoid all contact.Change your email and phone numbers. If he tries to reach you, be unavailable. I know it will hurt and it will be hard, but think of him as an addiction you need to quit because it is harmful for you.
    God will help you, but you need to act as well. Be strong and make a list of reasons why you need to stop seeing him, and read it every night and again every morning. Chances are, after some time, he will give up and stop contacting you. But he needs to see that you REALLY mean it when you said ';It's over...!'; IF he sees you are hesitating, he will do just about anything to try to convince you to go back to him.
    Good luck.I fell in love with a married man and it is so hard to stay away from him. Any advice?
    I feel sorry for you. I know what you feel for this man is strong but as you said he is married and it wouldn't be right to come between this. Now as far as it being your fault, I can't agree with that. It takes two people and your not the only one at fault.
    I would avoid him by not going to him, stop answering phone calls, do not go around him at all or where you know he hangs out. You need to start looking for new things to do to occupy your time. Find you a new friend to hang out with that you can have fun with.
    I wish you the best of luck! My prayers are with you. I commend you in what your doing to stay away from this married man! I know some selfish people that wouldn't care and that is just wrong!
    Go away on vacation by yourself or with friends (someplace like the caribbean or europe)
    Call your DAD and ask him for advice..he will be thrilled to know his little girl is throwing her life away!
    Call your MOM and ask for advice..she will be thrilled to know her little girl is whoring herself out to a loser.
    Call his WIFE and ask her opinion..I am sureeeeeee she will have some choice words and advice for you.
    Call his CHILDREN and look into their faces and realize you are stealing their future by your selfishness.
    Go to the gym and work out... take boxing lessons..
    get a second job. if you have no time you will have no time to chase a married man
    get rid of your cell phone..no phone and he cant call you and you wont be tempted to call him
    change your home phone.
    volunteer
    get checked for stds if he is cheating with you..he is cheating somewhere else too!
    find some self respect..since you don't respect the wife, or marriage in general, or your parents, or his children...try to respect your future. try to imagine..how you would feel when you have a crows foot or two around your eyes, some stretch marks from bearing the love of your life's child..and realize that he is whoring around with some stupid little pie eyed tramp.
    does it hurt? then don't do it to someone else.
    get busy...keep your mind occupied and off the loser.
    Just think how you would feel if you were in his wife's place. You must put a stop to this and never under any circumstances see him again. There is someone out there who has no comittments. You are special, find someone you don't have to share. As for you saying it is your fault, you are not in this by yourself.
    people do what they want to do, obviously, so if you really want to, you will leave. otherwise there will be serious repercussions if you don't..
    Figure it out and do it. It's a waste of your life. I'd be careful about praying and then returning to the married man. God might get a little miffed and send a big lightning bolt your way!
    If you really want to get away from him call his wife and rat yourself out. I'm sure she'll do a good job of keeping you away.
    The best way is to get involved with something or someone else right away.
    think to yourself if u two did stuff how r u to know that hes not going to do that to u also hes doing it now right do u understand what i mean if not im me k
    Move on/expand your world.
    do not go back to him. DO NOT GO BACK TO HIM. i don't even care if that involves chaining yourself to a radiator.
    Poor girl.
    I congratulate you for trying to do the right thing. It is so hard, but you are not giving up. God will help you. When you're facing temptation that seems too strong, it's good to pray - every day - this part of the Lord's prayer : ';Lead [me] not into temptation.'; Sometimes God is going to allow you to be tempted, and the temptation is going to start with daydreaming about this guy. Try to think about a Scripture verse when he comes to mind, to get your mind off thinking about him. If you are having difficulty getting him off your mind, pray for him when you think about him, that his marriage will be strong, and pray for yourself that you will do the right thing; and then quickly change your thoughts to something else. All of us have to deal with temptations, of whatever kind, in our thoughts - you're not alone - there is no one who is not tempted to think the wrong thoughts - whether impure, angry, greedy, or whatever, we are tempted to think wrong thoughts. When wrong thoughts come to my mind, I may WANT to think about them - sometimes I have to pray that God will make me want to think the right thing. Thoughts are the root of actions, so if you can resolve this problem while it's still just a thought, you won't go on and do or say something inappropriate towards this guy.
    You are going to be tempted the most when you have time to think about him - when you're not busy during the day, or when you're driving, or when you wake up in the morning or as you're in bed falling asleep. During the day, you need to keep your mind occupied with other things - like Scripture verses, or whatever you are doing at the time. Try not to spend a lot of time alone, because that's when you will be tempted the most. Spend a lot of time with your friends, or call or IM them, or whatever, so your mind stays occupied with them and not thinking about him. At times you can't spend with your friends, get involved in some hobby of yours that requires a lot of concentration, so your mind stays busy. When you're driving, listen to books on CD, music you like that doesn't remind you of him, or something that keeps your mind occupied. Do whatever you can so you don't lie in bed a long time when you're not asleep, because you will start thinking about him. Replace thoughts of him with thoughts about Scripture verses, praying for him, or planning out your next day, or whatever it takes to get him off your mind. It's hard, when you're in love with someone, not to think about that person all the time - that is absolutely normal. You are trying to stop doing something that is natural - that is hard - so it's going to take drastic steps and won't always be easy. But God will help you, and thinking about him less and less will help you to move on.
    I really hope this helps.
    Always pay your rent before you buy anything else that month and make the most of every moment. Rarely, if ever again will you have the opportunity to access so much information, friendship, social life and knowledge.
  • Any one have any tips on training for air force cct i am taking the physical test soon please advice?
    I am taking the test and would appreciate any advice from any former or current cct or pararescueAny one have any tips on training for air force cct i am taking the physical test soon please advice?
    Well i may not be in the Air Force but i ship out to BUD/s on tuesday... For your pst i would recommend interval training. If you have to run 1.5 mile runs in say 11 mins then go to a track and run 1.5 mile runs and keep your self timed... try to due about 3 intervals, then for another workout due a long distance run of 60-70 mins, and then do sprints like 1/8th mile like 10x. For push ups do sets of 20 then do arm circles arm haulers then pull ups. Situps you can pretty much muscle through... if you need work on it try doing sets of 25-30 with 25-30 4 count flutter kicks with a rotation of crunches (side middle and other side). Planks also build up the core.Any one have any tips on training for air force cct i am taking the physical test soon please advice?
    Be ready to run buddy....i hope you have good stamina and endurance. You'll most likely pass the physical test, but just letting you know that its highly based on endurance, you have to run a certain distance in a given amount of time, sorry i forget what the time and distance is.
    We are travelling to walt disney world in florida in a few weeks and wondered if anyone had an advice or tips?
    We are taking our 2 year old son, who has never been on a plane. Should be interesting to say the least.........We are travelling to walt disney world in florida in a few weeks and wondered if anyone had an advice or tips?
    Congratulations on going to Walt Disney World! I'm sure you and your son will have a wonderful time. Don't worry, I'm sure your son will do absolutely fine on the plan. If you can, try to get him something to chew on while he is in the air. Chewing on things in the plane helps your ears from not popping. If you can, try to get him excited about it.
    Once you get to Florida, you absolutely HAVE to do Disneys Magical Express. I'm sure you can find tickets to get on it on the Disney website. How this works:
    1. You make your arrival at the Orlando Airport
    2. You find the Disneys Magical Express bus that goes to your resort.
    3. The bus takes you to your resort to check in.
    Disney takes care of your luggage for you! You can go and take your trip in the park, by the time you come back, your luggage will be waiting in your room! It's so convenient. Also, the bus is very nice. They show you a movie on the way there to get you excited for your trip. It also shows you how to check into your resort. They have little TVs all over the bus. They keep the bus very cleanly, and it's not even a bus; It's a motorcoach!
    I did the Disneys Magical Express during my last vacation and loved every aspect of it. It's saves so much hassle!
    Have lots of fun on your trip.We are travelling to walt disney world in florida in a few weeks and wondered if anyone had an advice or tips?
    Bring plenty of money, snacks for your son, and anything else he needs to keep happy. You can always rent a stroller at the parks, so if you don't want to carry a stroller with you on the plane, I would suggest rental.
    You may not be spending as much time in the parks (because toddlers need their naps!), so you could plan to stay at a Disney hotel with a pool or other fun activities for kids.
    Definitely for you, bring sunscreen, bathing suits, plenty of clothes and a few extra outfits just in case of drink spills, etc., and don't underestimate the weather--bring ponchos and an extra pair of shoes!!! (it rains a lot and your shoes can get soaked!)
    Bring stuff for the plane that will keep him entertained, like crayons, books, and also a portable dvd player (these come in handy!).
    When you get into the Magic Kingdom, go straight for Fantasyland. This will be your son's favorite land there. Toontown is also popular with 2 year olds. It gets crowded as the day goes on.
    Do NOT go to the parks with the Extra Magic hours on the Extra magic hour day! It may be tempting to go and get the extra 3 hours at night or 1 hr in the morning, but everyone else thinks so too! These are the most crowded days to be at these parks. If you have a park hopper ticket, hop back to that park for the extra hours.
    Bring your own stroller and goodies for your son, and you will save money.
    Take advantage of kid swap, so youguys can go on the bigger rides too.
    Have FUN!!!!
    Make sure you bring a stroller from home. Don't bring a good Graco one, though. Bring a little cheapy one that folds easily. Navigating and airport without a stroller will be a nightmare. Also, you can rent strollers from the theme parks, but they cost $10 a day and are only at the four major theme parks, which means you'll be hauling your son through parking lots, hotels, Downtown Disney and waterparks if you go there.
    Next, Disney does allow you to bring in a diaper back/backpack. Make sure you pack little bags of cheerios or some other snacks. Food is expensive in the parks, so if you can save a little on snacks, bring them in with you. Bring water in, too.
    If you are allowing yourself a day to relax and stay out of the parks you can head over to Fort Wilderness Campground. There is a petting zoo and pony rides there. There is also a buffet that is a good price and has good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
    Take plenty snacks and things to keep him amused on the flight, also take something like calpol (infant paracetamol) just incase.
    Take a cheap stroller, but one that reclines, they are very expensive to rent from Disney. Also a parasol and sun block.
    If he wont be scared from the characters I would say book a character meal.
    Most of all, relax and have fun, dont try to do too much.
    Remember take lots of photos!
    take a stroller and make sure your son is fastened in with the seat belt. it gets VERY crowded in the amusement parks and if you haven't found a hotel i recommend Star Island Resort. It was so cheap I couldn't believe it and its very fun also its close to the amusement parks.
    have fun!!!
    Apart from the stroller, bring a cap and sunscreen. The sun is hard at time, especially for a young boy. Also, try to find a way to buy small bottles of water that you can carry easily. In the park, they are really expensive.
    Take good walking shoes, take breaks in the day to cool off and relax then hit the parks again, drink lots of water, and make dinner reservations an Ohana's at the Polynesian Resort you wont regret it =)
    Get the unofficial guide to Disney. It is very helpful and has all the tips you need to know
    Make sure you make reservations at chef mickeys! You will loveee it.
    Baby won't sleep. Any advice would be appreciated?
    My LO has been sleeping in my arms for the past 2 hours. Every time I try to put her down she grizzles until I pick her up when she stops immediately and falls back to sleep. I haven't been able to do anything around the house!
    Rocking the bassinet won't help either.
    She's 6 weeks old. ThanksBaby won't sleep. Any advice would be appreciated?
    Try sticking a receiving blanket in the dryer for a minute to warm it up, then lay it down flat in her bassinet and immediately lay her on top of it. Often, it's the contrast from your warm arms to the cool bassinet that wakes them up!
    This trick worked a good portion of the time with both my kids. You could also try a carrier/sling to keep your hands free to do other things.
    Good luck!Baby won't sleep. Any advice would be appreciated?
    I was going to say the same thing as tj mama, don't worry about the housework you only have this time with her once. If you really wanted to you could even curl up and nap with her.
    grab a book or put a movie on and enjoy ome relaxation you need it too.
    Some things you can try if this becomes a regular issue are: elevating the head of the cot - most babies get reflux to some degree many aren't bothered by it, some are and this can help, Make sure her bedding is warm and that she is warm enough, you can put a t shirt or something else that smells like you in with her, just be careful not to have anywhere that she could suffocate, you could also try putting her in a rocker or bouncer instead if you have one, some babies prefer that position, some soothing music.
    You may also like to try a baby swing if it becomes a regular occurence, these shouldn't replace cuddles from mum, but if every now and then you need a break they often enjoy sleeping in these.
    what i do is what till my daughter is sleeping, put her onto a pillow in my lap, rock for on the pillow with my Hand on her tummy, after about 5 mins of that i lift the pillow with her on it in the bassinet! Works every time! Sometimes its just the temperature change that wakes them! And if that doesn't work just enjoy your time with her, wont last forever
    Is she swaddled?
    Try warming up her bed with one of those bean bag things you put in the microwave. Obviously remove it before you put her down. Do you have a white noise maker? My lo has the sound of a babbling brook playing beside his basket currently.
    Enjoy holding your new baby! The housework won't go anywhere so just sit back and relax with your baby
    wow, she must love you already!! its cute that a baby knows her mama. anyway warm milk should do the trick.
    Warm milk?
    My baby is six weeks old too and we have the same problem at night. So, here's some things that have worked for us. We just have to try any combination of these because some days one method will work and other day we'll have to go to plan B.
    Here stuff to try:
    1) Put her in her car seat and carry her around the house with the shade down. While she will cry when you put her in.. tricking her into thinking that you're going on a car ride might get her to sleep. Carrying our daughter in the car seat or putting the car seat in the stroller and actually walking.. usually makes her stop crying and go to sleep. THEN, leave her in the car seat to sleep. My pediatrician told me that it was safe for them to sleep in the car seat as long as their heads are back and not hanging down.
    2) Actually take a car ride. The vibrations can make her go to sleep. Then let her sleep in the car seat.
    3) This next one works for my husband and not for me. But, put her down and let her cry for about two minutes then go in, tuck her in really tight and give her a kind word or two..then walk away... repeat two times and she'll go to sleep. (this might not work for you but it works perfectly when my husband does it)
    4) do you have a vibrating bouncer that rocks. Put her in it. She will cry at first. Then, start rocking it.. with the vibration on... sing or talk to her while making eye contact. We've found this affective.
    5) All else fails.. the swing on it's highest mode. Make sure she's strapped in good. You'd be suprised at how it gets them to go to sleep. Then, turn it off. Leave her strapped in. But, when we do this one, we sleep in the recliner next to her swing to be on the safe side even though she is buckled in.
    Is there some advice about repairing an older model Moen kitchen faucet?
    When I reassembled the handle (a one handle Moen, not sure how old it is) it will not push the valve stem down far enough to stop the water flow. What was a washer replacement job is turning into a horrow show. any advice?Is there some advice about repairing an older model Moen kitchen faucet?
    you have to turn the water off. Then it should work, if not blow the standing water out. Its like a piston in a car, it will go in only so far with water in there then youre trying to compress the water.
    slip the little horseshoe clip on it, if the hot is cold and the cold is hot you can swing it around without taking it fully apart.Is there some advice about repairing an older model Moen kitchen faucet?
    The handle doesn't push the cartridge back in place. You should be able to push the cartridge with your hands and seat it, then it is retained with a clip to keep it from coming out under pressure. Check to make sure you have the new washers in correctly and that you insert the cartridge in the correct direction. You can also go to moen's website for instructions, available in pdf format.
    that your swallow like 7 spiders in your sleep in like a year or something.
    and people swallow flys all the time without realizing it. or some other sort of bug :)
